…you are about to play one of the most addicting social media games ever.  Dump that chump or save the worthy, those are your choices in ChumpDump!  This is unlike any other game for twitter, in ChumpDump, fate rolls the dice and you decide.

HOW TO PLAY

The lottery holds the keys to everything.  Every day in ChumpDump the lottery chooses a friend a random from your twitter friends list.  Not your followers, YOUR FRIENDS.  These are people you signed up to follow, you absorb their daily updates, you endure their stories and rambling thoughts.

The lottery chooses a winner and then tells you a story about this friend of yours.  The lottery with its magical powers analyzes you and your friend’s relationship over the past 30 days and tells you things like:

• # of direct messages
• # of replies
• # of retweets of YOUR posts
• # of links they’ve posted
• are they following you back
• location
• Klout Score
• picture of their avatar
• social graph profile
• view of their most recent tweets

Now you DECIDE their fate

The lottery demands action, you cannot continue until you make a choice.  SAVE your friend from the lottery, keeping them in your friends list on twitter OR… DUMP them and let the lottery claim another soul.  Dumping removes the friend from your friends list.

WHY?

ChumpDump wants more than just a decision of SAVE or DUMP, it needs to know why.  Why did you save a friend?  Why did you dump another?  Why’s are key to the game.  They motivate others to play and they inform everyone what quality tweeting is all about- character, personality, activity, sweetness and more.

KARMA

Motivation varies in ChumpDump, some players play for the sheer spot of dumping.  Others play for karma, a valuable essence that players gain naturally from the game as they make decisions.  Amassing a great deal of karma grants players recognition in the game- these players are legends in the game, they’ve earned their place as lead dumpers and savers.

How does the scoring work?

• 2 pts for save
• 2 pts for dump
• 1 pt for telling why
• 1 pt for adopting a recent dumpie

An “adoption” is when a player adopts a recent dumpie that they aren’t already following on twitter.  Lottery isn’t heartless, it offers recent dumpies a second chance on life by being adopted by other players.  These players that adopt are rewarded for their efforts and in time grow to love their new adoptions.. (we think).

VOUCHERS

The lottery takes time to recharge.  So most players have to wait it out, waiting for the lottery to be back online and ready before they can play again- however, you can acquire vouchers to BYPASS the lottery and dump.. er save on demand.  Karma is required, for every 20 points, 5 free vouchers will be yours, granting you 5 runs past the lottery, enabling you to spin the wheel of fate at will.

BADGES!

As an extra incentive for players ChumpDump awards badges.  These are special items in the game.  They grant you status.  Badges can be won for a wide range of activities in the game such as:

• taking the lead on the leader board
• maintaing position on the top ten of the leader board for a month
• first time the player gets saved
• first time the player gets dumped
• dumping friends in different allotted amounts (5, 50, 500)
• saving friends in different allotted amounts (5, 10, 50, 500)
• adopting players in different allotted amounts (5, 10, 50, 100)
• performing a specific sequence of dump / save activity
• tweeting in chatter
• epic rare instances (soon to be announced)

BONUS

All the why’s behind dumps and saves are shared in the game.  You’ll also find a stats page where you can see who’s been most active this week, this month.  You’ll be able to view who’s earning the most badges, or who’s been dumped the most or saved.

OPTIMAL GAMER

Already there are rumors amongst players on how to play ChumpDump with optimal karma increasing ratios.  Perhaps there are tricks and tips, many of which are unknown even to us.  We do know however that the lottery demands a why, and that everyone can benefit from knowing who gets saved or dumped for what reason!   Stay tuned for more badges, more ways to earn karma and maybe even spend some.
